hello. im new to this site and have been off and on with rc trucks. 4 yrs ago I bought a rc10gt. ran it all that yr then came too college. just remembered that I had it. what would be the best things to do to it since it has been siting that long. it does turn over so the engine is not froze. and what would be a good web site to go through since I am in the middle of nowhere. hope to gain alot fromt his site. thanks Morefun

did you put after run oil through it before you put it away?And just make sure that everything is tight and stuff,like the mesh.

get a new air filter and maybe rebuild the carb I am kinda new so I would look for some more oponions < I cant spell. and you can go to www.towerhobbies.com for parts they seems to have the best selection for parts

Honestly? I would take some wd 40, take the back plate off, spray some wd40, spray wd40 in the glow plug hole, turn the crank for awhile to get all the parts moving, clean it, then try to fire it up.

another is check the batteries if you are using just AA's replace them. if they have exploded in the radio use baking soda and water paste to clean all the areas that the batteries were in. next since you took the radio out and the rx out test all the servos make sure that they move freely and smoothly.

If it was in good shape when you put it away, then it's in good shape after it's stored.
Give it a good 'once over' and check all screws, adjustments, and connections, and fire that puppy up!!
New batteries, glow plug, ignitor battery, fuel. You probably wouldn't 'have' to replace the air filter...but I would. I don't think I would tear the carb apart and rebuild it until I suspect it to be bad...It might be o.k. once it gets put back into service.
Don't expect 4 year old tires to last very long either...

put a new glow plug in it new nitro. had the glow charger charged. now it still wont start its a pull start and my arms tired of pulling it. what do you think I should do?

I would refer to the manufactures factory needle settings. As long as it still has good compression it will fire up. Also, try giving the engine more throttle when starting it up.

Do you prime the engine with a push button primer or plugged exhaust?
