I need some help with setting the engine?

Hi, I am wondering if anyone can help me. I bought my husband the Nitro MT 2 RC Stadium Truck, however I bought it off his brother and it never came with anything and needed some work. We have taken it in and had everything replaced or repaired that needed to be, but my husband is having some trouble with tuning the engine. We are wondering if anyone can help us with this?
