I am new to to nitro i have an mini t but want a nitro stadium truck. Im only 15 years old and i have to pay for everything for a stadium truck if i was to get one. I just want to know how much it will cost me a year for a nitro stadium truck if i use it like 3 tanks of gas a week and for about 6 months till winter comes. I will just be bashing around the yard and hitting some jumps.

lol 3 tanks in one week? i use that much in an hour. stadium trucks usually have a small tank with a run time that is around 8-12 minutes. so yeah, your not gonna have that much fun if you only run your truck 3 tanks a week. lol

Search this forum for fuel consumtion. I remember not too long ago somebody ran some numbers comparing nitro/elec.
I use a gallon of fuel in 2 weeks to a month when I'm running alot.
Replacement parts will bite your wallet too, depending upon your style and skill.
Some of the parts are consumables regardless of how you drive...glow plugs, bearings, tires, batteries, etc...
Not trying to scare you away...But there is more than just fuel to buy.
Unless you break some of the expensive parts(engine, chassis, radio....), most of the stuff can be replaced with a $20, and still have change left for a burger...

RE: PLEASE I Need help!!!!!!

it wont be that much just get the airplane fuel its the same thing

the nitro fuels in the hobby shops are mostly racing stuff and you dont need this stuff, unless u race but since u dont like me use the normal airplane fuel its damm cheap compared to the other stuff and harldy and noticible performace difference!! use something like cool power or omega fuel

go totowerhobbies.com and get all your prices and stuff!!

and if your a beginner dont buy the traxxas stuff since they can get tricky to tune, get some other brand hpi is ok and duratrax and stuff

Airplane and land vehicle fuel are not the same thing. I'm not saying it can't be used, but don't believe that they are the same. Airplanes don't run the same, or cool the same as our trucks, and the fuel is designed accordingly.

And depending on what engine you use, could determine what fuel you run. Example, My brother and I both had Nitro Rustlers with 2.5. I could run almost any fuel. His would not run worth squat on anything other than Top Fuel. Don't let me discourage you, but nitro is not plug and play. Companies today make the RTRs very reliable and easy to get started, but you will need to do some tuning from time to time and you may have to experiment to find the perfect fuel for you. Then again, some people run dishwater in their cars with no problems at all :D.
