im looking for more ground clearance and are there better cv joints.. i keep going through the stock ones, they keep blowing out. help please, i look through the official thread for ten min and im tired of reading the same stuff. thanks if you can help.

The MIP Cvd's for XX-T fit on the electric evader ST so the ones for the XX-NT should fit the Nitro evader ST, you might want to check first though as I'm not positive on the compatibility.

What's happening to your stock ones? When I had my Evaders (I had two electric evader ST's and one nitro evader BX) I didn't have any problems with the stock CVD's.

on the driver side the pin flew out. , i was on a grvel surface and it would nt hook up so i was spinning tire all day. the pass side same surface but the whole ball and pin came out. ive learned my lesson on that surface but i want bullet proof cv's .. also shock set up if you know. i only backyard race , maybe local track, but she wont jump worth crap,, always but over front .. ive adjusted the stock shocks till im blue in the face,, do i need different oil or new shocks. i want to jump halfway decent with out worry i might break the head off. i love this truck and it ripps. i dont bash like savages but i want to jump about 1 to 2 feet high. and look good doing it.. is this a pipe dream... thanks if you can help....

The pin problem in the cv joints has a easy solution. Ask your local hobby shop for some heat shrink or cv rubber boots. They are both cheap.

You need to replace the stock shock oil. Use 30wt. It is cheap as well.

Everything I have recommended is less than $5 a piece.

now i blew the tranny. im going to take it apart tonight, are there any better gears for this or do i suffer with the stock ones....

The stock ones are fine for me. I'm running an FR12 that puts our more power than the dtx 18. Some people like the aluminum diff gear and idle gear but I don't think they are worth it. If you buy some red grease from a hardware store and pack it into the tranny case with the gears you shouldn't have big problems with the stock gears. Note: remember EXACTLY how you take apart the differential. The manual has some of it backwards and if you do it like the manual says, the CVD's wont fit back in correctly.

I use spur gear from the RC 10 Team Ass. because the stock ST gear just can not stand up to the rigor of racing.

does any one know if they made a metal spur gear yet for the evader?
