Anyone use ceramic diff balls?

I've heard of steel and tungsten carbide (the latter being much better) but was wondering if anyone has used ceramic diff balls and how they compare?

The only things I run ball differential on is my F1 Mini-Z’s. I have one with the ceramic balls and cannot tell the difference between that and the standard ones. I have talked to many that swore by them. My suggestion is try a set and form you own opinion as I think it will boils down to personal preference.

I don't think there's a difference in performance, just their durability. Steel lasts two rebuilds normally, carbide a lil more and I would imagine ceramic to be better since it's so expensive.

Ceramics roll better, last longer, best balls around.

And he is then one that would know. When I read this post could not remember who was looking for the balls a while ago and when I read your post it came to me. You did find a place that would sell you the right number of balls you where looking for or did you have to buy more then you needed?

I just use the standard hardend steel balls in my xxx-nt. The carbide balls are 5x the price but I would rather replace them every time I change the rings. One flip then everything goes. I haven't tried anything else because I don't feel as though I would want to reuse balls that many times.
