Engine Tuning Help!!!
I was driving my NT today and I tried to tune the engine some. The truck was running too hot (around 280 degrees F or more) so I richened the high speed needle. It was still hot so I kept richening it until it bogged up and died. I haven't tried to start it again, but I bet it will. How can I prevent it from overheating and not bogging up and dieing?
I finished breaking the engine in according to the instructions about 6-8 tanks ago, and that was after replacing the piston and sleeve because I ruined the other ones by putting wd-40 in the engine along with running too lean for too long. It's a Mach 15 btw, and once my local track is made in the next couple months i'm going to buy either an O.S. .12 CV-R if they demand .12 engines or a Peak Racing Diable .15 if they don't. |
RE: Engine Tuning Help!!!
Temperature and humidity changers are going to have an effect on your engine and tuning will be neccesary . When you make tuning adjustments do so 1/8 of a turn at a time and run the truck a few minutes before making any other adjustments , going too many turns one way or another without proper time will cause problems.
