which should i get
 

Well ive been wanting to get a off-road for quite some time now and ive pretty much decided to get a stadium truck.The main things i want are:
1.durable
2.kinda fast
3.has wide arrey of hop ups to get for it
4.its a kit(doesnt have to be)
5.not too expensive
Il be driveing it mostly on baseball fields, places with allot of puddles and maybe even the beach sometimes

RC10GT is probably goin 2 be your best bet it comes RTR and i think its under 300 bucks there is so many hop up only thing is u have to find out if there is hobby shops in your location that sells parts i cant get parts for in and i live in miami there is not a single shop that sells parts for them when ever i need someting i gotta turn 2 ebay or towerhobby

Another good choise is that traxxas jato EVERYONE SELLS PARTS FOR THEM i dont have one but ive seen them run and there fast ass hell and u can get parts for it anywhere only down side is that that everyone says the break fast???? since i dont have one i cant give u my opinion on it its jsut what everyone says (but then again alot of people talk alot of crap so hopefull someing with a jato comes and helps u out to tell u what really up) oh and price i have no clue!!!!

Jato's a great truck but its not "kinda fast" its "hella fast." Not as many hop ups for it though, they will come with time. Not sure about the difference in durability, but as long as you dont run it into curbs its a tough truck.

lol those are the two that i was looking at currently, i was leaning toward the rc10gt because ive heard alllot of good stuff about ot but the more i look into the jato the more i like it. no runing into curbs awwww:)

BTW yea its horrible finding a good hobby shop around here i usto go to one and they closed, then the one i was going to now stoped selling nitro's because it was to much work...

you can meet all your criteria (except number 5) with an HPI MT2/SS kit... from my experience they are very durable (the only thing that's broke it is that tree) and great to work on!!!! The HPI doesn't have as many hop-ups available, but from what I figure, there is no reason to hop something up that doesn't need to be...

the thing that makes me like HPI the most is the ease of maintenance... in 20 minutes I can rebuild both of my diffs... 20 minutes with my RC10 or evader, gets my diff out if I'm lucky...

i have a jato, ive changed alot on it to get it to my liking, but it is a really tough truck and ive only broken the front camber links, and the two plates in the front but i hit a 1:1 car tire going fairly fast, so that was bound to happen. the one way bearing on the truck froze but from what ive heard that is rare for it to happen on any car o_0. and i shattered a brake disc, my fault also. thats all that ive broken in a 3 month span i guess? not bad considering how much i drive it.

cool, thnx for the comments. if this was a race the jato right now would be in first, rc10gt in second with the mt2 close behind.

btw i saw this kyosho i liked(well i liked what it looked like because i havent found any info about it) but i cant find it being sold anywhere or anything about it here is a link to them both they are the same i think just different body.

kyosho made some changes, I'm not sure what they were, but the shops that used to carry their parts (they were plentiful) are no longer carrying parts for the kyosho's...

Hey ur in miami 2 i saw u in that other "jato 90" forum yea the rush is good really good but they dont make them any more (there disonntued)i know a place where they still got one i have one and i luv it but if see parts geting a pain in the butt 2 find ill sell it later on in life i wouldnt get it there is no hobby shops in miami with parts for them u gotta order everything offline (trust me ive checked) up in broward there is a place that gots part for them there in tamerac but thats far as hell the RC10GT is another pain in the butt GREAT GREAT CAR i have it also BUT THERE IS NO ONE IN MIAMI THAT SELL PARTS FOR THEM EITHER!!!!! u gotta go up 2 tamerac (dam that thing is far tho) if u look at my profile i got my RC10GT pic in it when i still needed a load of parts i got EVERYTHING of ebay my rush parts i got EVERYTHING OFF ebay and now i cant even get parts for the rush on ebay (there is still parts on HPIracing.com and TowerHobby.com) 46u talked about the .18 SS mt thats a really really good choice i had it but sold it yea the 4 wheel drive was good but it wasnt as fast as id like it u CAN put a 2 speed on it 2 make it go faster but ud just ripp the 2 speed the first time u take it offroading ur best bet covering cover all 5 on ur list would be the JATO AND EVERYONE IN MIAMI HAS PARTS FOR THEM THERE EVERYWHERE!!!!!!! that will probably be ur best bet

There are so many GREAT CHOICES even better than the JATO ( im sure, personally id take the jato) but no one in miami want's to deal with anything outside of HPI or TRAXXAS i have no clue why if ur goin to get anything outside of those 2 companys ur goin 2 have 2 order it (alot of hobby shops will do it for u if u take the part number and charge u exrta for doin it i just get everything off ebay some places wont do it for u) the only hobby shop in all of miami that deals with companies that not HPI or TRAXXAS is a hobby store in lil havana called HOBBY MANIA (aka HOBBY MIERDA) the only thing they sell and deal with is SMARTECH (smartcrapLOL) let us know what u finally get

im not to shur right now if im even gona get any of them cause my car just broke so until i dont fix that one im not shur but im really likeing the jato. I know how you feel miami about no hobby shops selling parts i have a cen... the hobby shop i usto go to was great up in pembroke pines right off okeshobee but they decided to stop caring nitro("it was to much work" i thought that would be a good thing for a store) now there only electric[:o]il let yal know once i get my car fixed

If it was a f-150 RTR lolololol is was most probably a RS4 3 RTR that was the first RS4 3 that came out (pre evo pre .18 ss) the rtr came with a .15 FE engine (crap) one speed(crap) and pull start i know this becuase my friend gave me his with the box and i ended up selling it i think i still have the box but one thing i know for sure is that i have the f-150 shell LOLOLOLOL if they price was good u should have gotten it u could have dropped in the 2speed and a better engine and had a great car (and one u can get parts 4) ima include a pic what the box looked like with the f-150 RTR HAHAHAAHAHAHAHHAHAHAA poor guy

well i was looking at that chart and i like what i see in the rush evo, nitro evader st, jato, cen funfactor(on the list as st2) the evo as miami said is hard to get parts for, the fun factor is cen and its harder geting cen parts(i know i have a cen)i really didnt like the mt2 to much idk why i just dont like it, then it was down to either the evader or the jato, the jato is more expensive but i like it allot more, so the jato it is.Now i just have to get the money lol or i could just wait till my birthday(december):( thnx allot for all the help guys:D

Sell the CEN so u can get the jato im not degradeing the CEN in anway shoot id luv 2 drive one (if i ever get 2 see one in person and like u sayed parts are beggineing 2 be a pain in the butt) but think about it that CEN and tha JATO run at about the same speed (so u wont loose speed) and u can drive it anywhere the jato even comes with street tires so u can run up and down ur street or jump it over someone's 1:1 car lol anyways let us know what u finally do

The mods should make a miami thread for you guys! I would get the jato, just a better newer overall design. The hpi mt-2 18ss is also a great truck but kinda slow and it to me feals cheeply biult. Never drove a gt 10 but theyalso look like a nice truck. You could allways get a mt ?

i'll race my s-revo against anyone wiht a rcgt and win, but hten i have a 2spd and alot more power and torqu. If you want fast, light and low, jato is hte way to go...that rimed really well , maybe i could sell, and hten i could buy a bell. That is the thing i would do if i could not get a revo. uhh anything rime with revo ?
