RE: getting started in nitro rc
Break the motor in properly, follow the procedure on the DVD and you should be fine. Also find an open area to drive it because you don't want to have to fix it before you break the motor in completely.

RE: getting started in nitro rc
Read the manual cover to cover before you do any thing. Take your time breaking it in and when you get it broke in come down to Macon and race with us. :)

ORIGINAL: xtmman get a different car. They are definatly not the best for anything except being a shelf queen. Get a GT or a X-Cellerator. Losi's are good to but meant more for racing and cost a bit more due to the fact that it includes a JR X2i (I think) radio in the kit. Good luck with any choice. |

RE: getting started in nitro rc
In my opinion the truck is great, ive had mine for 6 months and have all rpm arms. It certainly isn't a "shelf queen" so don't let the "experts" talk you out of it! By the way, how many GT's and XC's have 2 speeds??? So good luck man.

RE: getting started in nitro rc
The jato is a real good truck but i dont know if its good for someone to start with. I have driven the 3.3 it took me a while to get used to how it drove and a own a few rcs. If you are starting and you are planning of running offroad alot you might want to look into the mt type rcs. Dont get me wrong i love the jato its real fun to drive and well worth the money but it will take you sometime to get used to the speed and handling.

RE: getting started in nitro rc
i agree, i think a 4wd truck would be better, it handles much better and you wont go through rear tyres like theres no tomorrow
