I had the same problem, i rebuilt the whole diff and still did it, then i found out my clutch fried...check your clutch, if its not that then try 2 tighten the rear diff bolt. I would check your slipper clutch too.

i checked the clutch and its fine the slipper is adjusted properly the diff bolt just always comes loose, it is really starting to rack my brain and another question what are the 6 tiny balls for that go in between the 2 washers in the diff nut are they necessary? thanks in advance

yea you need those balls... that was a nightmare for me cause i bought the truck with no manual and had no idea... i just took the diff to my LHS and had them rebuild it, if you have the manual do it yourself.

make sure the diff is in the right way, (if the adjustment screw is on the wrong side, it will loosten itself when it slipps)

If the diff bolt is on the wrong side of the truck, it will loosen up everytime you run it. Looking at the truck from the rear, the diff bolt allen head should be on the left side....

^^Looking at the truck from the rear, it should be on the right.
It is the passenger side rear(American)

Hi,

Titanium diff balls? Could they cause the problem? Never heard of people using them, only chrome steel, carbide steel and ceramic.
