Tuned pipe
 

Hey guys, im looking into getting a new tuned pipe and ive got some things here i think im going to get, it looks like it should fit fine but i want to get everyones opinions and if youve ever used a resonator, tell me how good it is.

Also, has anyone ever used the Traxxas Blue aluminum tuned pipe? It comes with everything needed including that header and that makes the whole package alot cheaper, heres a link:

I've never ran one personally... but, I've ran with a guy at track near me who had one.. I can tell ya' that it's loud..:D .. We both had Jato's, close to the same setup and both 2.5's, his was noticeably faster than mine.. I had a few more aluminum parts than he did but not enough to make that much of a difference (knuckles, C-hubs, rear hubs).... from what I've seen, looks like it's worth the $$ ....not sure about the other pipe.. also not sure which Resinator he had (I think there's 2 different ones right?)

yeah theres two, one for low-mid range power and one for mid-high range power

I've got a Jato 3.3 with the Resinator (I'm not sure if its the one for low end or high, it came with it) and I really like it. Sure, its a little loud but, that way people hear it comming so they can get outta the way when I lose control while pulling wheelies!! [X(] Seriously, I like it a lot. IMO its a good buy. I too am not sure about the other pipe, someone else may have a little more info on that.

Duke911, Do you want more power off the 'line' or do you want more speed? If you want more power off the line, then you need the 'single chamber' resonator. The dual chamber is for more power at the upper end of the RPM range. You may want to rethink the fitment of the parts you have selected. Looks to me the header and pipe combo is for the Traxxas PRO.15 and the header looks like it's for the PRO.15 also. I think the OS.18 has a round exhaust port, at least my OS.18TM has. My Jato has the OS.18TM, a Mugen Seki header, and the Traxxas 5485 Dual chamber resonator and it hauls butt. I hope this helps. Later, Bob

incorrect the TM is rear exhaust (round) and the CVR is side (rectangle).

But yeah the sport manifold is not very good.

What header could he use in place of the Nitro Sport one?? I had a look around for him and I couldn't find anything. Please post some links.

Where did you get them anodised AE Blue? lol it doesnt look very good, being blue would help it out. But according to you it works Great. Dont judge a book by its cover! Effectiveness > Looks

This is driving me crazy. Why are there so many pipes made..

found this, looks pretty good, comes with everything i need. Its a dynamite pipe and i want to know if any of you have ever used one or saw it on someone elses ST.

But there is also the THS pipe that comes with everthing, but it comes from Towerhobbies, which i dont like ordering from that much. (have to pay duty gah) But im pretty sure this pipe is better performance, AND it looks GRRRREEATT!!
