My HPI Nitro Rush new out of the box did not come with tire foams.[X(] But they changed that and yes I recommend running them.

Really depends on what kind of traction you want to get, and if you do a lot of jumping the inserts hinder the cushion of the tire................thats why there is usually a pin hole in most rims to let the air out and cushion the landing[:@]

Dude [>:] Get your facts straight before you post. Foams absorb shock from jumps and bumps and keep the tire from squishing down to the rim and also to build up the side wall of the tire so when in a turn the tire dose not want to lean on and roll on the wall of the tire. they also help with handling cuz they help stop body roll

I pretty much agree! And if you did not have the holes the vehicle would bounce too much and make handling worse. All so the holes are to let any water and dirt get out. I do not have holes in the wheels of most of mine but in the tires as this way centrifugal force slings the dirt and water out. Dirt really puts a hurting on the foams. Some put holes in both the wheel and tire.

i wouldn't put holes in the tires, for fear of ripping the rubber while running

so tell me what this guys quote has to do with holes in the rims...................you guys frost me[&:] foam me up Scotty.............many times in racing you run tires without foam so that your traction is much better because with the hard foam on the inside of a tire you don't get the right tire distortion for the best traction in corners or the tire height for speed in the straigh aways but don't ask me I do this for a living[:'(]

remember noe this isn't 15 lb MT this is a ST thread[&:]

This is why they make foam is different hardness! I do not know about stadium trucks as I only race buggies but I have never seen any one race with out some sort of foam insert. [8D]

You can't really run these things without foams. This guy talks like he knows everything but I haven't seen him make a logical suggestion yet.
