Is there any bodies out there for this truck.... if not i have an idea to share if you get a Nitro Stampede body mount you can cut off the Nitro Rustler body mounts off and put the Stampede body mounts on

RE: Nirto Rustler

Oh yeah, many bodies are availble. Some guys get the Atomic, pre-painted bodies which look really good, IMO. Also, Proline makes some really nice bodies that are not painted.
I have a GMC Sierra body for a while then I got the Crowd Pleazer 2.0. Here are some pictures of it.

RE: Nirto Rustler

Dubro makes them.
They are body clip holders, thats all I know them buy. They come in different colors, and in sets of two with body clips. You will never buy another set of body clips after these. They are real cheap too.

I make my own but I see those on alot of trucks and they look pretty cool.

if you do the body mounts of the Stampede then you have all the bodies for it

twomanytoys 08-21-2007 10:28 PM

RE: Nirto Rustler

I found them. Thanks. YEAH Racing also makes a body clip retainer.

Yea, you could do that. IMHO, that makes the truck look exremly goofy.

Oh and to the post with the Jato. He is talking about NR's not Jatos. The Jato bodies will not fit on the rustler, well that is unless you do some cutting to it.

RE: Nirto Rustler

well true but that allows you to get more body options

twomanytoys 08-22-2007 11:29 AM

RE: Nirto Rustler

kxbeastrider,

I never said anything about Jato bodies fitting a Nitro rustler. I asked a question about body pins so Im not sure what you are talking about?

RE: Nirto Rustler

Oh ok, my bad. I over looked that. Sorry about the misunderstanding there.

RE: Nirto Rustler

so if you get a jato body you have to do some cutting right

kxbeastrider 08-22-2007 05:18 PM

RE: Nirto Rustler

Yes lots of cutting from what I have heard, if it even fits right. The Jato and ruster are completely different, from from to back and side to side.

RE: Nirto Rustler

kx since the Crowd Pleazer has the openings in the window spots does that help keep the engine cool..... i am looking into buying a body similar to that

twomanytoys 08-23-2007 12:09 PM

RE: Nirto Rustler

The JAto and new nitro rustler bodies are almost exactly the same. The only thing different is the mounting holes.

NirtoRuslter09 08-23-2007 12:33 PM

RE: Nirto Rustler

so does it help keep the engine coo

twomanytoys 08-23-2007 01:56 PM

RE: Nirto Rustler

You should always have a hole in the windshield to help keep it cool.

kxbeastrider 08-23-2007 01:59 PM

RE: Nirto Rustler

Yes it does keep it cool. However, the body does not come with those holes already in it. It is up to you to cut them out. However take caution when doing this. Do not cut all the way down the edge of the front window, then whole side window. When you do this, it makes that side of the body weak and it will break easily.

I dont know if that made since or not, but thats why I cut the hole in the center of my front window and only took about 3/4 of the side windows out. I left a good bit of plastic there.
