RE: WHAT TO GET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT TO GET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TRAXXAS NITRO SPORT NITRO EVADER ST XTM NITRO X-CELLERATOR Show Results The only one of the three that all you need to compete is an engine is X-c and with the .18 it goes a little faster than the other 2 but what do I know[&o] |
RE: WHAT TO GET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How many threads do you need to ask the same thing?
|
RE: WHAT TO GET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
enough until someone can actually provide concluding information to get the model he is considering.
I'd go with the Duratrax Evader on this one. Parts are cheap, durable, easy to acquire, and the engine is manufactured by OS Engines of Japan. |

RE: WHAT TO GET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Personally if ya want to do some racing then I wouldnt look at either of those that you said. Did ua consider looking at the team Losi xxx-nt's or the Team Associated rc10gt's. You can get parts for them just about anywhere and if ya wanna race then there the best of the best for racing and the durability on both of them are pretty good. Now I'm a Losi Guy so I'll say go Losi over Associated anyday, but there both equally great trucks.
But here's a little advise, go to your LHS and see what they carry parts for the most. If they carry a lot of Team Losi parts and basically no Associated parts then obviously go with Losi or Vise Versa. There's nothing worse then awiting 3 weeks to drive your truck because of a broken part is on order because your LHS doesnt carry that manyy parts for your particualr truck. Believe me I have been there once or twice (not with the losi) and it sucks balls, watching everyone else drive while you cant. But i now have several rc's so I dont have worry about not being able to drive now when Im awaiting the arrival of a part. But if ya havent already looked at those trucks take a look at them. Who knows you may like one of them!!!!!!!!!!! |

I'm sorry that I recommended something you wouldn't profit off of. But back to the topic itself. Most hobbyshops that carry most of GPMD products will have a ton of Duratrax parts on hand. The evader is a easy truck to get race ready... and it doesn't have extremely brittle suspension arms that the xcellerator has. If i could do it all over again, i would have gone with an Evader over the xcellerator. I hate having to order everything in because hobbyshops all over hate to deal with hobbypeople/global hobby. |
RE: WHAT TO GET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm surprised you even new how to spell comprehension Kemo and your wrong I make a profit off of every model mentioned here but Losi and thats because I won't deal with people who hold Hobby Shops down to make there own profit. There is nothing any more brittle about X-cellerator arms than Duratrax. I doubt that you even know what the real weak point is on an X-c and if you could do something besides drive a good RC into a wall maybe you wouldn't act improperly by telling lies about products that don't have any more problems than the ones you say are great.
Make you a deal quit acting like your the judge and jury over products and I'll act like your opinion is worth something:D |
RE: WHAT TO GET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are obviously a ignorant dealer.
The weakest points on the Xcell are the differential, the rear suspension arms, the turnbuckles along with the ball cups. I have it, I know what sucks about it. Let me also mention that its also geared incorrectly from the factory just to hit speed numbers. To get it to be competitive it needs at least 51 teeth on the spur... good luck finding a spur from XTM that is above 50. |
RE: WHAT TO GET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know it isn't one of the choices but I would get a jato 3.3
|
RE: WHAT TO GET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think the JAto is way out of his price range. Hence the sport being one of the choices.
|
RE: WHAT TO GET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
User mentioned he wanted to race and bash. The jato 3.3 would need a bit of work to bring it to race legal, along with the rest. The jato is also the most expensive of the bunch.
|
RE: WHAT TO GET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well no need to argue but my price range is under 250 lol
|
RE: WHAT TO GET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Perfect. Get the nitro evader RTR, get the 20 bucks off, and you have option of 20 bucks merchandise or 10 bucks back in cash from GPMD.
With that extra dough, you can get supporting equipment to get you driving! http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=LXDJL9**&P=ML EDIT: corrections made in bold. |
RE: WHAT TO GET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My choice isn't on the poll.[:o] I would of chose the HPI Firestorm.
|
RE: WHAT TO GET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
