hellfire braking help

i'm fairly new to the sport and I just picked up a hellfire truggy a couple days ago. Its a used one and I noticed someting odd. As I reach a decent speed and slam on the brakes, it makes a loud "rrRrRrrRrrtTtTT" sound. I looked at my bell n my spur and it seems to be wearing down a bit. Is that the problem? or is it normal? what should i do? thanks

Umm how worn down are you talking about. post a pic if you can. Most likely you'll just need to go to your LHS (local hobby shop) and get a new spur gear.

unfortunately my camera isn't working so i don't have a pic. its probably a millimeter worn down . nothing dramatic ... but that sound just bugs ... i'll probably just go to a shop nearby . thanks

RE: hellfire braking help

maybe it's just the brake slipping on the pad, it happens to mine when the brake is totally dry.
