running in the cold
hi guys
I know you probably here this question alot but cant quite find a answer, I was wondering if its okay to run my Nitro Evader in the cool temperatures? the temps right now here are about 5c ( 33f ) during the day. Will this cause damage on my trucks engine? I plan on running on a dry surfaces so I wont be running it on the snow Hope to hear your guys opinions.;) -Jeremy |
RE: running in the cold
run it and adjust it you'll be fine [&o]

RE: running in the cold
just remember plastic gets brittle in the cold and it will be much easier to snap something at those temps.
and cooler temps mean richer hsn setting due to denser air... |
RE: running in the cold
5c is enough to start to run in the cold , here in Finland we start to run at about thoses temps ,but breaking in a new engine need's hotter temp's like 10c or more as the engine need's to get to at least 90c to make a good breaking in .
Just check you temps and if the engine does not get hot enough (at least 100/110c ) you can cover the cooling holes on the body (with a piece of tape) to get less cold air reaching the cooling head. |
RE: running in the cold
I've driven in -40 with the windchill you can use tin foil around the cooling head and also you can warm your car up by opening the hood on your real car and let your rc car sit on top of them motor for 5 -10 minutes this works to warm it up pretty good..
