they are... any white nylon wheel can be dyed.. i use RIT dye that can be found and any walmart in the laundry section... its cheap.. like a buck or something and wall mark has a huge selection of colors

i usualy boin in a big pot and tie some wheels to a string and then to a coat hanger... after the water is at a fast boil, pour in the power dye mix and turn the heat down so that it just barly keeps the water moving dip the wheels in and make sure you get the water completely over them.. check in about 5 min.. and pull out in about 10 min

cool thanks that what i needed to know. I'm going to try and dye them 2 tone. I'll dye the face of the rime one color and then the inside of the rim another color. Hope fully I can make it work with out screwing up a new set of rims! .lol! They should look sweet on the RC10GT when I get done with them!!:D:D

are you able to get all of the dye out of the pot that you used to hold the water/dye when you were finished with it? or did the dye ruin the pot?

Follow the directions closely on the RIT dye.

Also watch your water temps; it's easy to get too warm and warp the wheels. Placing a rack or rag under the wheels, in the pot, will prevent them from sitting on the bottom of the pan and overheating.

If the wheels turn out too light after the dye, remove them and start the process over.

I'm considering just using paint instead of dye.

Really? I would think that it would look about the same either way, but painting wouldn't be nearly as messy.

paint would scratch off, the dye gets all the way into the plastic
