Kyosho Ultima ST HELP!!!

Hey guys, my bro just got him Ultima in the mail (Ebay) so we unpack, fired it up, that he drove around for a bit. The truck was taking off by itself, so I tryed to lower idle. I got that down fine. Then I saw engine was loose. So I tightened it up. Relized cluch was too far from spur gear (I think (The big one?)) So, tightened it up against touching (Paper trick) then fired it up and I took a turn on it. The spur gear was a little beaten before, but I ate it right off smooth! What happened? I know we need new gear (metal this time) and screws. Can anyone explain why this happened, and tell me how to set up the gears?

Kyosho Ultima ST HELP!!!

You need too set the gear mesh so you can hold the spur gear and slighly rotate the clutch bell. those Ultima STs arent the best STs, expect more problems.

since the ultima was the newest version of the old sandmaster you might wanna check cluth shoes as well since your engine was loose. ive had this same problem with my sandmaster (hunk of junk) maily because i dont wanna invest money into a dead end car hehe. but when the eingine was loose you and sitting wrong you very well could have burnt a clutch shot which is under the clutch bell and could be grinding on your shour cause it not to be able to idle.

hay i own a ultima st and i had no prombles with it. so who ever owned it first did not take care of it.

yea i own an ultima st racing sports a car is as good as its driver i beat the **** out of my ultima and the worst thats been done is a cracked radio plate pretty tought little things altho the chassis is a bit weak but not as weak as as everyone says 1 more thing what a manifold and a tuned pipe on to it and hang on! then it really flies
