X-Cellerator Kit?

Anybody know if XTM makes, or ever made, a kit version of this truck?

I've got one already but it's all beat to hell but the OS .18 CV-RX I've got in it is still good and I'd love to have another 1/10 truck running again.

I hate to spend 250 bucks on it only to throw away ANOTHER junk radio and motor (though I think the new .18s are better). I've got literally half a dozen identical transmitters just laying around. The Hi-Tec systems that came in these XTM cars were total garbage. <200 feet of range in a lot of cases and random loss of signal even right at your feet.

Well, let's list what's wrong with it:

1. Battery box is smoked
2. Wiring for the battery is smoked
3. Differential's locked up
4. Shocks need work
5. Needs new rear hub 'cups' (the little plastic cups at the end of the upper suspension arm)
6. Chassis is in bad shape
7. Slipper Clutch is in rough shape
8. Brakes are smoked

With all of this don't you think it'd be cheaper, or maybe just easier, to get a kit or a new one and drop the old motor in?

And oh yeah, both servos are cooked.

if its that beat up then why not change over and get a rc10gt? i hear they can take some good abuse and parts are abundant. i know here in jersey there are no local shops that carry them and would have to order from like tower (talkin about the xtm).

I appreciate the offer but no thank you. I'm not a fan of AE.

Anyway, yeah it's beat up, but it's after 4 gallons of HARD bashing, wrecks, and everything else. The only reason the differential is cooked is because I let my little brother drive it (15 y/o) and he took it off a jump with the throttle on and landed and the poor diff. couldn't take that. Especially not with the .18 CV-RX.

They had a roller version with no engine/radio, but it was preassembled.

That's what I was talking about I think.

I want a car without a radio or motor. I've got plenty of extra servos and I'd like to use my .18 CV-RX.

Any idea where I can find one?

You aren't a fan of Associated, yet you have a truck that is a mix of Losi and AE... and not a well done truck might I add.

I heavily suggest getting a RC10GT... at least they stuck to a standard with their hardware whereas Great Vigor/XTM uses a very low quality mix of SAE and metric hardware. You've already listed all your problems... count your losses and upgrade to the GT, it's a heck of a lot more reliable and durable. I realize it is easier said than done, but hey... RPM makes upgrade parts for associated ;)
