Default Evo X Bodyshell Painting Help!

Hi, I am soon to be painting a Tamiya Mitsubishi Evo X body (White) and would like to know, do I need white and black paint for the car?

Is the body clear or white hard body?

If this paint your are going to use isn't transluctent, but a solid colour, you will need no backing. I use no backing when painting solid white, but if you want to you can back it with PS-12 (silver) which won't make the white much darker opposite to what the black one will.

Have a look here on my large scale body:

The main body is backed with the PS-12 silver, and the front part is not backed with any paint, it is solid white (PS-1). Just to give you something to compare with

If you meant do you need black paint to paint the front bumper lip and the rear apron on the bumper, then yes you need a paint but not in a can, you apply it with a brush.

Alternatively you can just paint the whole thing white and not worry about those little details, as usually they don't come out perfect anyway

Ah,there's pictures!! That first one, looks like you have cat fur stuck in the decals, haha.I have a battle with that at my house too.

That doesn't look horrible for being painted on the outside,I had to put a couple little drops of black on the outside of mine as well to hide a few pieces of white that made it through on the front. I'll get some more pics up in the other thread soon,my wing should actually be there at the hobby shop on the way home this evening so I plan on mounting that and snagging pics since it may be too wet to drive the actual car this evening.
