You can paint the body with whatever paint you want but over time that paint will not adhere to the body like polycarbounate paint will.

No, lacquer is forplastics, like models. You need to use paint made for lexan plastic.

MAKE SURE when you use lexan paint you do a couple LIGHT coats of color, and then back with white or silver once the color goes tacky.

Remember the plastic bodies move/bend easy, especially if your out driving your prone to hitting something or something hitting you. Regular paint will work but for a certain period of time. If your looking for a better alternative than buying paint at your LHS you may want to walk into an auto parts store and look for some vinyl/fabric dye in an aerosol can.

That paint is made to flex, already has an adhesive promoter mixed in. I've used it countless times on R/C Car bodies and have never had a problem.

MY LHS ONLY HAS LACQUER PAINT!!!! I wanted polycarbonate paint but shipping prices are over my head! I used pactra and tamiya paints to paint the body. And TheShark, what will backing it do?

Backing the paint will make the color look even and bring out the color and depth. remember, you are painting the inside of the body, everything is in reverse. when painting a real car you prime, base coat to even color and bring out top coat color. and then spray top coat. that is what you are doing but in reverse order, so your backing color( white or silver) is your base color in real auto painting
