Default White with black stripes?

Hey guys. I'm just curious on how this would be done. I would like to paint a body all white and then put a black stripe across the length of the body. My only question is, how do I do this without making the white become darker or turning it into gray?

Is this a clear body? If so, tape off where you want the white, spray the black, remove tape, spray the while. Of course this is done on the inside.

Watch a few videos on youtube about painting rc car bodies.

Buzz.

Thanks! Yes, its a clear body. But I would like the majority of the body to be white, and a small part of the body to be black. This still stands true though?

And yes, I have watched videos on painting rc car bodies, but I just wanted some clarification on specific colors.

Just put down a solid coat of white then back it with a grey or silver then do the black. Or do the black first by masking the edges of the line then use a grocery bag or two and mask the rest of it.
