Been having varying results painting highlights with Faskolor thinned with water depending how patient I am that day.
I’m using a Sparmax air bush with 0.4mm nozzle and pressure set to 30psi. To spray black highlights, I had to dilute the paint with around 30-50% water to get the effect and result I’m after. If I spray too heavily, the paint will beads up or become a watery blob on the body really easily and could be blown around by the air from the air brush if I’m not careful. The only way to go around this is to spray a lot of really light layer and use a heat gun in between layers to dry it. Usually it takes 10-15 layers depending on the effect I’m after and seriously tests my patients.
I’m wondering if it’s the equipment I have and/or the technique I’m using is wrong, or I should buy some specific paint thinner which hopefully would make it easier to spray.
