The light buckets I got from a guy on another forum (if you PM me I will tell you how to get in touch with him to see if he makes them for a skyline)

Also, it is a Fire extinguisher in the pics.

Ok all I finally got my buckets painted and mounted. I have one set of lights on the the front and rear, I need more lights to finish will have to pick them up this weekend. but for now here is a little look-see. I also need to get the driving lights in the front still. When finished it will have working brake lights as well, also pondered turnsignals.

Hope you all like it,
Bryan

I've got a question. I am working to build custom lights for my t-maxx. I picked up 3.7 volt 2600 mcd leds. There will be 6 leds total. First off are these the brightest for 5mm leds or can I get brighter ones does voltage or mcds determine the brightness. Second ? how do i do the power supply for the leds? What is the maximum voltage i can put into the 6 leds? 6 volts? i know 9 volts burns the **** out of them. THanks for any help. L0gik2@yahoo.com

Also the NTC3 looks great. Love the attention to detail. And the grill idea.

Galaxy,

The buckets came out great. the mold actually came as a full front end mold with an area molded back behind the grille as well but I cut that off. The rears had some bubbling but you will never notice it once they are in the car.

have to finish paint the mirrors tomorrow and will get them and the wipers on as well.

Post more pics soon.

Logik,

I used leds rated at like 2-4 volts and put resistors inline to make them work off a 9 volt duracell, I don't recall the resistor values off the top og my head bu I know you can use like something between 678 down to 400 or 350 just makes them brighter the lower the resistance.

When you get done, send in a pic to RC Car Action magazine. If they put your car in the "Reader's Rides" section, you get a year subscription for free. AWESOME car. If you take a pic with the right background, it's so real looking it will look like one of the cars from the Fast and the Furious.

Working on getting it done as fast as I can, because I have a second stage to the project but I need to finish the car first.

Have the mirrors and wipers mounted, working on the rest of the lights for front and rear. also scored some 20% window tint from a local tint shop so I am working on all of that will post pics when I have all of that done. Then I will have to get the cash up for the neon lighting for the undercarriage.
