Default Dying Nylon Rims

am buying some new tires so i want to dye my rims black... has anyone done this before? if so do you have any tips or tricks? i found a "how-to" http://www.rcxotic.com/contentid-14.html but thats all i could find

go to walmart or kmart and buy a coloring dye called, Ritâ„¢ it works great. even though its made for clothes it works great on rims.

i tried it...make sure u have them in the dye long enough...oops.[&:]

yeah leave them in there for like 2hours to get a dark color and not 30mins like i did that came out pink instead of red.[sm=tongue.gif]

ouch that stinks... ill be dying them black so ill just let em soak for a few hours

I have done this before. I boiled the water, added the dye and then put the rims in for 5 minutes. I also dyed a wing. Came out perfect. I used regular Rit clothes dye.

i like black on black for wheels and tires...they look more bad.

Also when the wheels and wing are black, it does not show the nitro that spews all over everything.
