two ways you can do this. one is that if your going to add graphics and stickers to where the post holes with be in the front or even in the rear. before you paint your body find a black or red or blue marker and dab some ink on your body post of your car/truck and then align your body with your chassis and press down so the ink tranfers to your body. the second way you can do it is if you already painted your body basically do the same thing but be careful when you align so you dont miss[sm=tongue.gif]
hope this helps.

-- Most people do things one way, but i always choose another. I always drill and line things up before I put any paint on the body. This way I can see through the body still and line things up nicely.

I get bodies that say in the info "Fits the RC10GT Plus or Factory Kits" Becase those comes with little dents to where you should drill the holes. Makes it a lot easier.

yeah but if you own a car that only makes stock bodies inside their company then you have to line the up somehow.

See, I trim and cut everything before I paint. I find it is easier to line everything up that way.

i did cut before paint but it was still off just a LITTLE bit. the paint/white out on the tops of the posts is ok, but what if the whole thing is still shifted to the left/right, front/back? i think i have a new idea anyway so we'll see.

ICrashThings - Funny, you just need more practice. if you do it right you wont even get any over spray.

and make sure your body posts are STRAIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!. mine are angled off the stay for some reason so it's like 4.5 inches at the top and 4 inches at the bottom. i'd mark the dots at the top of the posts thus trying to stretch the BOTTOM of the posts from 4" to 4.5".....simple laws of physics prevent this from happening so i need yet another new body.
