attaching the wings to the spoiler
How do you attach the wings onto the spoiler? Do you just use regular glue, or is there a special kind of glue to use??
thanks

2 screws, and 2 bolts. This should have come with the body kit. In addition, I use small strips of fuel tubing between the body and spoiler to act as washers to allow some flexibility in the event of a crash.

RE: attaching the wings to the spoiler
I know that the screws provided are for attaching the spoiler to the trunk of the car, but i think you misunderstood. My M3 body had a funny shape inside two of the wheel wells. I didnt want to throw them away, and luckily i didnt. Ive seen others actually attach these pieces to each side of the spoiler. (at the ends.....left and right side of the body) Does anyone know what im talking about?? If so, do you just glue these onto the sides of the spoiler??

Dude, all that needs is double sided tape or servo tape...which has actually come with 3 bodies I've done and they put it in there for that.

Clean your parts before you put the tape on studysession...adhesives don't stick to grease.Same way Loctite doesn't work on oily screws, then people wonder why they come out.If you look closely or I had a better camera, you can see that I've slid that body on its roof and scraped the tops of both of the vertical parts of the wing and they still stayed there so high speeds just blowing them off is silly. My friend had one keep coming off on his Supra body but it was saturated with nitro so thats why. It'll tear the paint from the lexan before the adhesive will let go.

GALAXY - Thanks but regardless how clean it is. With doing high speed runs it will not hold without using something stronger than tape. - at 93MPh the tape will not hold. I am going for the world speed record.

When I get the new ESC and motor - I will be doing another speed run trying to break a 100MPh.

Ok so...thats a bit faster than I pictured, lol.if it wasn't for weight,I'd suggest bolting them to the wing with some small 4-40 screws or something but I'd imagine you wouldn't want to do that.

Actually - one of my cars does have them screwed on. But most time I just use tire glue. It holds the wing parts on well, but the tires seem to come apart and unglued. hahahha Will be switching types of tires soon.

RE: attaching the wings to the spoiler
damn........93mph. I cant even get my REAL car to go that fast You must be doing SOMETHING right with that spoiler!!
I was checking out the spoiler today and i was dissapointed. The over spray film is on the wrong side of the spoiler, so when you mount it it looks odd. Still the same colour, but you can see that its a LITTLE TINY INSY WINSY bit off..............and i kind of also defeats the purpose of spraying on the underside doesnt it??........i mean, if you paint the inside of the body to prevent it from being scratched, why wouldnt i paint the spoiler on the underside to prevent it from being scratched???
