Protecting polycarbonate bodies
How do you prevent scratches from forming in your polycarbonate bodies? I am wondering if car waxes can work since they would leave a thin film on the body protecting it from minor scratches. Would these waxes harm polycarbonate?
If scratches occur I read somewhere you could use toothpaste. Is this true?
Thanks!

Scratches in the lexan are gonna happen no matter what if you roll/hit something. Wax or any other substance wont do anything to protect it.

Yes I know it won't protect it on a collision. I just noticed that it is so easy to create small scratches on the body even when I placed it on a piece of newspaper upside down for painting. Fine scratches were on the roof.

You may just be seeing scratches in the protective film thats on the body because it has a film over it while your painting then you peel it off.
