Default How can I safely remove paint from lexan?

Is there anything I can use to safely remove pactra paint from lexan without damaging the lexan itself? I've gotten a bit where I don't want it. Back when Bolink was still around they had a product called "body wash" that would do it with a little bit of effort. It cut the paint and left the lexan alone. Anyone got any idea of what might have been the active ingredient?

I know Ronsonal lighter fluid will not hurt the lexan, but I don't know if it will disolve your kind of paint. Might soften it enough to get it off.

If you need to remove paint from a lexan body without harming it use regular old brake fluid (dot 3 works best) that you can find at any auto parts store. I've used this method before on a couple of bodies I bought cheap off ebay and repainted more to my liking. It does take a little bit to loosen the paint using brake fluid but it doesn't cloud the lexan either. Just make sure to keep the scrubbing away from any windows or areas that you want to keep clear as you will most likely scratch the lexan in the painted areas when you scrub the paint to remove it. I used a small regular paint brush to apply the brake fluid and remove the paint....worked pretty good and was cheap.

dude lol, that is rigth nitro fuel removes it but it could harm the lexan if you pass it many tymes in clear areas, but if you do it carefully you could remove it safely

It's mush easlier to by a new body. Your time is not cheap. Your wasting your time, you could be driving your car instead.
