drifter with headlights
well i started a drifter yokomo silvia s-15 i made my headlights today and they are finished.
i need to do taillights and make the body where you can not see the light through the body i will put pics on in a min

I am definitely calm, and I know the answer also. You can find resistors at Radio Shack, or you can get them on Ebay for a good price. There are a bunch of ways to fit the led lights. Some people drill holes the width of the LED on the body, so they can just glue the LED where the body meets it. I personally don't like this idea because it gives it a sloppy and unrealistic look. What I do like is the new HPI bodys come with light buckets where you can drill holes there and stick the LED inside so it won't be visible from the outside. Check out this site http://www.rcneon.com/prep.htm to see how you would install it if you bought the kit. This should give you a couple ideas on how to make your own mounts.

Dremel off the battery holder in a remote control. You can probably find old remote controls lying on corners of streets. (Well, that's how it is here in San Francisco, don't know about your city)

i installed taillights into my car. now, where can i find 100,000 mcd white LED's for my headlights? are there any cheap soldering kits out there that work well?
