Default post your picture glue stuff

Anyone using picture glue? I've seen a few bodies that actually look pretty sweet in picture. How does it look close up? Any type of picture/paper that doesn't work? Any tips/trix to your best work using picture glue? If you used picture glue on a body post your results.

Are you referring to the glue that allows you to glue images on the inside of the body? I've been curious to see how it works, especially for pictures printed from an inkjet. Worried that the glue will make the colors bleed?

Well Used The XXXMain Picture Glue. I Printed Off Pictures Off My PC Used An HP InkJet Pprinter. Used Glossy Photo Paper.
After Printing I Cut The Picture Out And Used A Small Craft Paint Brush And A Smooth Coat Applied The Picture To The
Inside Of The RC Body, And Let Dry. The Picture Is Not Craked And Its On Good, Just Got To Paint Now.. I Will Post
The Finished Work. When I'm Done...

Ok here we go. Over the past week i wanted to do a theme on my Hyper 7 body. i did print off Pictures off my pc, i aplyed the glue over the pic and layed it out on the inside of the body, pressed and hold for a few min. after i got all pics glued onthen I painted. now thats it all done i looked over good, and found out the the photo paper was too thick and on a few pics the ends did not stick, not to sure on the paper or maybe i just dod not use enuff glue. the glue it self is a white milky glue, IT DOES DRY CLEAR .looking throu the outside of the body the pictures are their, and it looks good. just the ends of the pictures lifted up off the body.. I'm gonna try a differetn theme with a new body. before i did the picture glue on the photo paper, i took a peice of the body that i cut out and cut out a picture from a magizen. now that thin of paper stuck perfect no problems, like i said before don't know if i just did not use enuff glue, or paper is to thick.
i wanted to use Photo paper cause i wanted the picture to look good, a few picturs turned out great, but a few did not, thats on the printer side, its an HP. so that could be it . lol sry that i don't have pic, and will try to post the pic today...

Well...I've heard that the paper should be thin. (magazine type thickness) I would rather use something that I can work with in PSP but...I guess I'll just have to start thumbing through mags looking for some good images and ideas. Thanx for your post. If I get something up in the next few weeks I'll post it here. I'm currently elbows deep in my Savage right now.

I've been thinkig about it. You could even spray a frame around the image (best with an airbrush) then place the imge to hide any edges. I may give it a shot.

Id be interested to see how it turns out, having the decals on the inside would be so much nicer, wouldnt have to worry about them peeling off.

I used faskolor #40200 and daffy duck. I was a bit worried when I put the picture on, but you cant see any of the extra glue. The stuff dries very fast and I couldnt get all the extra glue off. After painting the body, its like the glue disappeared. I wanted the xxx main glue, but the lhs was out of it, it might not dry as fast as this faskolor stuff. I was quiet happy with the way it turned out, had I know how well it did turn out, I would have tossed more than one color on the body. Im working on one now for my hyper 8, I'll post pics when I get it done.

Did you use computer paper or magazine?
Was it easy to flatten out? Would it be easier to use a small brayer?
It looks really good for a "test paint". (nice roll cage) Before you put paint on, did the glue dry clear or white?

I have a sheet of that plastic that I'm going to experiment on.

I printed daffy on a junk printer, I couldnt fing any daffy comic books. I think it would have turned out better (colors brighter) had I used a comic book picture. The glue did dry clear, very fast but clear. I just brushed the glue on and place it on the truck, it was a 1 shot deal, thats how fast it dries. So far its been on and holding for 2 months now, but hasnt had alot of run time, just a quart of fuel. I turned out pretty good though for a first shot, I will keep you posted.

I've been out sick with the flu so...haven't checked in here for awhile. Everything looks realy good. I wish that we had more people responding with their results. I'm waiting for a magazine to come in from Ebay that I ordered. As soon as it gets here I'll start the body. I will definately post my results.

I am doing up a body, I'll have to give it a shot..... Just got my new airbrush setup ready for action Wonder if good old elmer's school glue would work? That stuff dries clear too.... should remain flexable enough as well..... For first one I'll probably drop cash on the right stuff but I often wondered if elmers would work. Just don't want to mess up the body I am gonna do, spent about $80 for paint, masks, decals.....
