I always reinforce the body where the holes are with a small circular piece of lexan or thin plastic. I just cut them about 1 inch in diameter and drill a center hole the same size as the post. I just tape them under the body. I have repaired holes this way too.
if you don't have spare lexan from trimming another body you have painted you can use the plastic from packaging. You know... like from the type of clear package a walkman comes in..

Also get some beefy clips. If the holes on the post are too small for them you can drill them out to make them larger to accept the beefy clips. Don't go overboard though as making them to big will weaken the post. Just use some common sense and you'll be ok...
I don't know what you're running but

How do you repair the body after the a peace has been ripped off. Do you use tape or a type of glue to to hold the new piece of lexan to the body? What type of glue of tape?

I had been using thin metal washers to prevent this, but no matter what I do, Bodies still rip to shreds when i land on my lid in -35 degree weather.
BTW I live in Canada. lol.

FORGET body clips.... cut a piece of fuel tubing, about 4-5mm in length, slip it down your body post, it will hang on like no tomorrow and give a little should the need be... and its easier to take off if you don't have a starter system like a tiger drive or a roto start... I have completely sworn off body clips, the only things I use it for is to support the cushioning under the body...
