I know some people dont know what these are but this is an open wheel modified body on a losi xxx-nt that i race weekly on a dirt oval. i just thought id share these pictures for fun. let me know what you think?

They are made to mimic dirt modified bodies, they really don't have a function on RC, but the 1:1 cars make them that way just for simplicity of changing body panels and being light and cheap to repair they get body damage constantly.

Heres mine. Its a McAllister Mini Mod body on an Associated RC18T. Very fast.

These types of cars, in real life, are very popular here in Indiana. For those of you not familiar with them here are a couple of links to tracks I go to watch them.

Very cool. I'm actually going to try and make a 1/12 scale NE asphalt mod for a scratch build I'm doing. I think having a modified body on a home-made car is authentic, and making it multi-piece will let me fiddle with the dimensions and refine it if needed.

What are those bodies made of, i once saw one that looked like it was metal and it got me thinking if that metal is thick enough it might work as a roll cage sort of.
