Default Black rims

I want to dye my stock revo rims black. Traxxas put on that cheap chrome paint and it is chipping. Does anyone have any ideas to get the chrome off? Acetone doesn't work. Has anyone done this with stock revo rims? What is the best way to dye rims?

Default RE: Black rims

Only way I can think of right now is sand blasting. Just use Rit dye to dye the rim black. If you want a shiny appearance, spray a clear coat over it once it's dried.
