Paint question?? Please help!!!
I'm going nuts right now.
Last week, my friend painted a car using the TS(for plastics) Tamiya paint as opposed to the PS paint for polycarbonate shells. His paint was chipping off and I told him I made the same mistake.
So, I buy a new shell and am looking in the PS section of paints to paint my new show body and find a killer color. I use it, then back it up with white as like a protective coat. After painting and drying, I realize that the first coat was a TS(wrong type) for plastics.
Question: Will my paint chip even though I backed it up with PS (the correct type for polycarbonates) white paint? To clarify, I used the TS paint(wrong type) as my primary color then backed it up with PS(right paint).
Thanks for the help guys. I'm so annoyed because I waited till it was warm to paing and the car looks AMAZING!!! But I am so upset because all this wait was for nothing because the shell may start chippin soon.
