You need to wash the inside of the body with warm soapy water.Dry body with lent free cloth. DO NOT TOUCH INSIDE OF BODY WITH BARE HAND AGAIN. The oil in your skin will mess up paint. I use powder free latex gloves. Apply your window mask and make sure to get edges down good or paint will bleed under them. If you are going to do stripes apply your masking were you want sripes(blue painters tape, auto pin stripe, ect.) a basic rule is paint dark colors first if you can, then light colors. Painting lexan bodies in done in reverse. Were on a real auto you spray your base cote first, and then your color, you will be spraying your final color first and then backing it with a base cote. Your color will not look right until you back it with white or silver. After each color you spray back it with white or silver or your next color might bleed threw the color you sprayed before. that is why you start with dark colors first and work your way threw to the lighter colors. The Paint will look transparent no matter how many cotes you spray. when you back it it will make the color pop. Alwas spray a light first cote to seal the edges on your masking and it will be less likely to bleed under edges. after that dries spray light cotes until uniform. Don't rush it and spray heavy cotes. Take your time and you will be happy with your first painted shell. Good luck and have fun.
