Default shelf life of paint

I bought some polyurethane 2-part paint from Radio South 3 to 4 years ago and got busy with other stuff. I'm wondering if I can use it now, or has it gone bad? Is the paint O.K., but I need new hardener? or is it all garbage?

Thanks, Jim

Default RE: shelf life of paint

It depends where you'd keeped the paint at?If it's in your house it might be still good.but if it was in a cold place it would be concitered it junk. The hardner you got is that old ?trash it and buy new.But most of the time your paint shouldnt be older then two years because the pigments start to separate and with age wont mix back up again.
