Default My First Body - Crowd Pleazer 2.0

Have never really done anything like this before, but I had access to a vinyl printer (at work) so I did up some internal stickers and first time painting.... Some unavoidable bubbles but I think it's alright.

Haha. If anything, the Toyota emblems trump the girls. :P

I have a few question for you or whoever can answer:

1. Does the picture have to be on vinyl sticker paper or can it be like a pic from a magazine?

2. Why did you apply the decals to the body first?

3. If the paper is vinyl, why did you apply masking tape to it when painting?

4. Wouldn't it be good to cut and trim the body before you paint it??

1. I have access to a vinyl machine printer at work, and we have transparent vinyl. I printed out the picture on the transparent vinyl, and because it's transparent, what's usually white is see-through. I would've printed on thin paper but I don't have any of that XXX Picture Glue (wish I did).

2. I applied the sparkles to the body first. And then the decals on the inside of the body. I don't want it getting scratched up from crashes and stuff.

3. I applied masking tape to 'see-through' parts, so that when I had painted the body black, the see-through parts would remain see-through and not get covered in black.

4. You always cut and trim after. The excess plastics acts like a bleed.

Here's an update with the body trimmed and chromed underlayer. The protective film is still on it by the way.

Done. Amazing how shiny it is when you peel off the protective plastic.
