im in search for some [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCY30&P=ML]fluorescent[/link]fluorescent paints..but do i need to have a white (or silver or gold) backing for it?

...btw, what types of paint needs backing?

yes back it with white to make it Brighter, any transparent colors will need to be backed, backing colors will change the finial color. metalics and pearls POP with silver backing. color changing paints vary by the effect your after, the color you use should have a suggested backer color.
i like to use pearl silver as a backer just because i like the look i get from it
