Default Jurassic Park Jeep Project Painting

Well I've decided to combine two things I've always liked: RC and Jurassic Park. Here's a few photos of an amazingly well done recreation of the original Jeep from the movie:

My goal is to do the same thing but as an RC. From my research it seems the Tamiya CC-01 Jeep is the best RC to use for this project:

This is how the body comes:

I'm no painting expert and so I need some advice. In general how should I approach this project? Naturally I would like an as close to perfect paint job as possible. How would you get the sharp straight edges of orange/red around and below the windshield. Also, how would you get those edges to conform to the fenders and hood curvature accurately. What is the best way to do the #18 and JP logo on the doors? I would also like to have the light bar and lights around the windshield. Any ideas on that?
