Here's the problem. Because paints are painted inside the body to protect the paint, you will always have a clear and shiny appearance regardless of whether you use flat paints or not. The only way to get a flat finish is to paint the outside of the body in which case a flat clear like that would work. The only caveat to that is the paint will disintegrate quickly the first time the car is on its lid.

Hi,
You paint your body on the inside. Trim the mask film that is protecting the outside from over spray by triming around the windows so they remain covered by the plastic. remove the rest of the protective film and spray the Tamita PS-55 Flat Clear on the OUTSIDE of the body. This product will have a "mild" chemical reaction with the plastic creating a flat looking body. Your covering the windows as you don't want them to look flat or frosted. This is the product used to get the flat look. I use it all the time.

Thank you, so do you think it works good? And where do you buy it? I cannot find any in stock anywhere?

Any LHS (local hobby shop) that sells Pactra paints.

This is the product all the pro's use. I've painted about 15 bodies using it and it works great. Here's a pic of the main body flattened and the image is still glossy black

Do you get yours from a LHS?

no, any black, paint on the inside. The flating is sprayed on the outside of the body. this tamiya flat product has a mild chemical reaction with the plastic and dulls it down.
