Water dipping patterns

Has anyone tried using this product on an RC body? Looks interesting but not sure how to adapt it to lexan.

I have done it on some nascar style bodies... I am planning on doing some dipping on a couple buggy bodies here soon...

When you dip the body is it adhereing to the inside of the body? or is this being applied to the exterior?
