Paint Protection
I purchased a custom painted body from a guy on ebay (dont remember is user name) a while back. I have not seen any of his custom bodies out since then. Anyhow, he did great work. My question is he used some kind of black "rubberized" paint as the last coat and I could not scrape this off for the life of me. It was an awesome protector as we all know how easy it is to scrape off the paint from the lexan. If someone might have an idea as to what this was he used to keep this paint protected, I would greatly appreciate it. I have looked at many different brands with no luck. Thanks.

RE: Paint Protection
Probably used Duplicolor truck bed liner spray. I use it too, works incredibly well.

RE: Paint Protection
Serpent,
Did that protector add a lot of weight? |
RE: Paint Protection
Bash the hell outa your truck and let us know how it holds up. Don't forget to include how the weight effected it.

RE: Paint Protection
I'm going to slip in here and tell you that it does add weight, but not a huge amount. Don't know an exact amount, but with one or two light coats I don't think the motor would "see" the difference.

RE: Paint Protection
So any kind of truck bed liner spray will work?
|
RE: Paint Protection
Well I have only used the Duplicolor, available at Walmart. I should think that any liner would work though.
