Protecting paint from inside???

I have been painting my bodies with paint cans since I don't own a airbrush kit nor have talent to try airbrushing however I like my paint jobs as they are simple and not so flashy and I would like to protect the inside from rubs and wear marks.

I have tried using several amounts of clear coat in the inside and have also used clear packaging tape in the inside but is there something else that can be done or done better so that the inside of bodies don't rub off giving the outside look worn out???

This is the latest paint can sprayed body and would like to protect the inside some how from rubbing off

yeah, I think I will just keep lining the inside with the clear packing tape...it seemed to be working but I just figured I ask those airbrush artist out there if there was something better and very effective.

I use duct tape. Real duct tape. You know the silver foil tape. I put patches on all the contact points. Lasts forever

I use left over decals, same basic mil as the packing tape, and gives a nice touch when your lid is upside down on the bench.

Back it with Krylon Plastikote. Then use vinyl for problem areas. Plastikote won't stick to unpainted lexan but it works great once the body is painted. Creates a plastic lining on the inside. Fuel proof and durable. I've been using it for a couple of years now.
