I used a pearl coat and then white over it
It didn't quite turn out pearl white, but I think if I used less "pearl" white in the first place it'd be better
It kinda turned out to look like an off white, tiny bit grey metalic paint

To get pearl you have to lay a solid base down first. If you want escalade, try to find the whites white you can. Then get what pearl you want. Escalades came in white pearl and white gold pearl. You lay your base down, and then you lay your pearl on top. The more coats of pearl the more the pearl will show up. Here is my bike I painted about a year ago. It is Cadillac white gold pearl, but the white I used had a little gray in it so the bike did not look as white as I wanted but it still had the gold pearl look.

For your rc body, lay the pearl white down then back it with silver. Rowdog explains it for real cars, rc bodies are painted backwards. Check out cfx graphics, lots of great info.

laying auto paint on rc bodys is a pain when your dealing with pearls. like rowdog said you would put your base white down first then the pearl FOR REAL CARS but with rc bodys you have to do the pearl first. doing the pearl first makes it more a pain in the but cuz you dont know when to stop laying pearl down to get the effect you trying to get. if you put to much pearl down it will start to loose its transparency to show the base color(color under it) trough it. but if you use to little you wont get a good effect. doing cars you got the base down first so when you lay your pearls down on top you can see the effects right away and know when to stop laying pearl down.
i have used auto paints on 3 bodys now all with pearls and its tough. buy the way i use Bulldog adheasion promoter on the lexan just befor each layer. it drys clear and stays flexable.

here is the last one i did
