I've read that versions of Tom Atkins old T2A Pattern kit are still available. Can someone tell me if this is true and who? where? etc.? I had two of the old Bob Smith kits years ago and really enjoyed them. Thanks in advance.

George's work is excellent. The deluxe version comes with wings and stab sheeted in obechi. It's worth the extra cost.

Is this the kit you built?
The file is to large to attach.
It is the fiberglassed w/retracts version.
I have one new in the box, but no prints, rudder or elevator parts,

I had the old Bob Smith or PB Products kit with fiberglass covered wing and stab and retract wells molded in. Really nice kit, but tended to turn out a bit heavy if you weren't careful with the finishing.

Here is an update on my Bob Smith T2A after a LOT of work to make things fit. With engine/muffler Enya .60 Mk IV Chrome and B&d retracts, it weighs 5 lbs. 3 oz..[img][/img][img]

Looks like you've done a nice job on the T2A...Hope you post pics when it is painted and flight ready! I am producing the T2A in kit form along with several other vintage pattern planes so if you need "parts", let me know. I'm attaching a couple of pics of my kit and a completed T2A. These are great flying planes that are a very inexpensive way to get into pattern.
