Hey Guys,
It's getting closer to the time and we don't have too many signed up yet. If you plan on coming please go to the D3 website and sign up. Here's the links below to get you there quick. While you are there you can also sign up for the D2 - D3 Shootout and I know that Victor would like to see who's coming so he can get the correct amount of RIBBBBSSS. There is one more link I would like all of you to check out. It's associated with R/C Pilot Magazine for the AMA to manage all events. Go to the website and select RC Flight Deck and you can see events from all over the country and the numerous other SIGS. You can uncheck all the choices and just pick the one's you are interested in and the events show up on the right side of the page. (example: select NSRCA and then select Aerobatic Competition to see only pattern). If you open the event to check it out you can also sign up for that event there. When you select to sign up for my contest it sends you to the D3 website to register there. Soon I'll have it set so you can use Paypal to prepay for your registrations.

Gentlemen,
For all those coming to the Polk County Pattern Classic, you will need a gate code to get in and out. The magic numbers are 7625# and for those that have trouble please call my cell phone. I will also be there Friday early for guys to start practice and the field will be setup so we can fly 2 lines that day.

Directions: I-4 exit 38 go north on Hwy 33 1/4 mile to Tomkow Rd. on the left. Take Tomkow Rd. to dead end. The gate is strait across intersection. Gate code is 7625# and remember you have to use the code to also get out. You could come fly and never get to leave!

RE: 2012 Polk Pattern Classic Lakeland, FL
Well we have another Polk Pattern Classic in the history books. I hope that everyone had a great time and I know I sure did. It was great getting to see everyone again and we had a nice guest from D2 Mr. Larry Kauffman. It was a pleasure getting to know him and hope to see him again at the D2 - D3 Shootout at the end of March. We had a little weather issue on Friday and was rained out for practice that afternoon and Saturday it was real foggy but dead calm. The ceiling was too low for a while and it was around 12:30 before we could get started. There were 4 in FAI, 6 in Masters, 4 in Advanced, 7 in Intermediate and 2 in Sportsman. We had one brand new Sportsman pilot from Sebring, FL Mr. Terry Brockway and he did really well for his first time. I want to thank everyone for coming out to fly and hope that next year will just as fun.
Here are your scores
Thanks

I want to thank everyone for the great contest and the hospitality given me. My wife and I felt right at home with the friendship that was displayed from D3 to a D2 flier.

I also had a great time, despite the fog on Saturday morning and the wind and clouds on Sunday morning. Just being with others who had a common interest was almost enough. But then the beautiful weather on Saturday afternoon and the four rounds which most completed was the frosting on a very nice "cake".
Watching Victor Diaz fly that little F-86 just under the 30 foot high fog bank on Saturday morning was a treat too.
Thanks to all the Odoms for being such gracious hosts.
