Anyone going to Hialeah Friday morning for practice or whatever? Might get a few flights in before the weather craps out.

+1! Thanks also to RAMAC and Joe's helpers this weekend for a contest well run. Special thanks to Chris Moon for the F3AU gift certificates. And to Mother Nature, well, thank you for a humbling Saturday and the Sunday reprieve from the wicked winds. The good weather today was much appreciated LOL! Finally, I sincerely apologize to the folks downwind on the flight line for the Sportsman antics right of centerline.

Ditto the above, and also a special mention of thanks to Frank Granelli and Ed Alt who kept things moving along at the flightlines, and super-special thanks to Ann Granelli and her assistants for their constant work at the scoring table.

Thank's Joe for haveing this contest. It's the first time I have gone up that area, and I have to say that everyone was friendly and helpful to each other. I hope to be able to make back again to this contest next year. I will say that is was starnge to fly with three level of tree top. the lower one, then a secound at a lower ridge line and the top at the higher ridge. At time it seems as some of the master pilot were trying to land at the higher ridge line when in fact they were just flying ( ofcrouse way inside of it.)

Today I began practicing flying in the "wrong" direction in preparation for next year. I've been working on upwind rolling and downwind spin entry and landing. At Pocono, many Figure M's had stall turns done back towards the direction of entry.
Thanks for all the work Joe, Ed, Frank and Ann.

It definitely was the strangest of wind conditions on Saturday.
