Hello,

I think the one super-important thing to do mounting the wheel pant is to ensure the axle passes through the far side of the pant, through a snug hole. If you do this, you can rigidize the pant and use a single axle screw like the central hobbies AL axle.

If you do not pass the axle through the far side of the pant, you are purely relying on the torsional rigidity of the thin pant to withstand all the stuff that happens during TTL. Doing this on iMac and pattern planes has made a huge difference in wheel pant life for me.
