Default Green Sea Fall Pattern Contest (October 18-19-2014)

To Whom it May Concern:/

As some of you may already know, a decision has been made that the Masters Pilots will be flying the 2015 Sequence at this year's fall Green Sea Contest.

Additionally, the majority of the Advanced Pilots (both returning Advanced Pilots and new Advanced Pilots) have been poled and it is their desire to also fly the 2015 Sequence.

Hopefully, this thread will reach the Advanced Pilots whom I was unable to contact via phone or email (Dave Burton, Johnny Clark and Glenn Hatfield). Please share this information with them if you know how to contact them directly.

The 2015 Sequences for Advanced and Masters are located on NSRCA's websiste.

The Sportsmen and Intermediate Classes will fly the current 2014 sequence, at Green Sea.

I'm going to try and make this one. However, I am scheduled to be traveling sometime in October?

I might show up and sell some stuff I have that I'm not likely to use soon, such as a NIB Vantage 2m if there's any interest.

Charles,

I passed this along to Bill Pritchett. He and his son Greyson are coming down from Indiana.

Hey where is the best place to stay for this event? I thought it was a little closer to Myrtle Beach, but Conway and some other places look closer.

Thanks,
E

Some guys stay at the hotel in Loris, it's the closest and some people stay in Conway or the beach. Conway is about a 30 minute drive the beach is about 45+ minutes or so. Loris is about 15 minutes. I wish I could come, but I will be unvailable for a bit.

Best of luck, good to see you make a contest.

E,

Quite a few of us stay closer to the beach as the rates are dirt cheap this time of year. My group is staying at Breakers on the beach for between 50-70 bucks a night depending on the room choice. Also, leaves open many more options for dinner. Conway usually has a few stay there, as well as North Myrtle Beach. The Carolina Inn in Loris used to be popular, but it became more run down as time went on.

See you this weekend, I haven't flown a sequence since my contest in late August, but George offering up his 1.85 powered Accuracy is too good to pass up since I'm going anyway because Tara is scoring.

Yes, it is. He let me fly it at my contest and it flies great.

You missed a great weekend E. Weather was great. A little breezy on Sunday though. No casualties, which is always good. I saw Robert Gainey taking some pics, so he may have some to post if he is on RCU.
