Just a quick post to let everyone know that the District 3 finals is a go for this coming weekend. (Nov 7th and 8th.) I have gift certificates for the winners of the contest and district trophies to give out. I plan on if weather allows a good 6 round 2 day contest. I'm looking for a great weekend of pattern flying! With a strong possibility of 25 contestants we will need to keep the contest rolling..

Just want to say thanks to all who put on this contest. I had a great time and can't wait to fly more next year. Larry you ran and incredible program. You have all certainly given me a lot to think about and work on during the off season.

Geez, he wasn't that old. Sorry to hear that.
I visited Gary and Cindy about 4 years ago when I had business in Jax and they looked great; just a little more snow on the head. His back room, the hanger, had several pattern models in it in RTF condition. And I was shocked to see his venerable Jekyll still around in its prominent spot in the living room and in mint condition. Continuously flown since around 1990, that plane has seen many 1000's of flights by now. Really well maintained.
When I think back on his landing that thing at Tony's contest so many years ago now and your comment on the score you gave him for that maneuver, it still makes me chuckle. He deserved that 10 more than most.

Great contest. Hats off to Larry good job running the event. Kudos to the club they were friendly. I really enjoyed the time there. Looking forward to next year. As a side note it was interesting how many D2 guys showed up. On a personal note thanx to Terry Brockway and JR. They took me under their wings and helped me start settling into intermediate.
